Appalachia Exhibit

The Art Center’s winter exhibit will be Appalachia from the Inside: Celebrating Kentucky’s Appalachian art and culture.

Three inter-related exhibits showcase a range of media, techniques, and themes relevant to contemporary Appalachian identity. The exhibit pushes back against stereotypes of the region and celebrates both its history and future.

The exhibit has been taken down in the Art Center since it ended on March 16, but teachers can choose to participate virtually for this exhibit.

Format – Virtual field trips will be facilitated via live video meeting (either Zoom or Google Meets) and last approximately 1 hour. Up to 100 students can participate in virtual field trips.

Cost – Our exhibit field trips typically cost $6 per student. We currently have funding available to waive the fee for all 4th graders and students with disabilities. We have some additional funding for other grades on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact us to find out if we can waive the fee for your students!
