The Kentucky Heritage Council is hosting a “This is MY Old Kentucky Home” photo contest on social media now through May 23, and our friends at the Heart of Danville have already got in on the fun!
“Home†is different for each of us. For some, “home†is the house where we grew up or now live. For others, “home†is that place where we feel most “at home.†Where is YOUR Old Kentucky Home?
Many buildings in the Danville area are a “home” to everyone in the community, and we hope the Community Arts Center is one of those places for you! We invite you to participate in the contest the next time you visit the Arts Center.
All you need to do to participate is take a picture in front of the Arts Center holding a sign that says “This is MY Old Kentucky Home” (you can use this sign or one that you create at home or here at the Arts Center in Lisi’s Art Lab). Then share it on the Kentucky Heritage Council’s Facebook page with the hashtag #myoldkyhome. You can also tweet it to them at @KYSHPO and to us, @ArtsCenterKY.

Arts Center staff will be posting our photo to KHC’s page and our Facebook page in the next few days, so watch for that. I hope you all will join us by participating, too!
