David Farmer

David Farmer is a long-time Danville resident. David enjoys working in oils and acrylics and is fascinated by old buildings especially ones he finds within interesting landscapes. He enjoys playing on the dramatic contrast of angles and colors that this subject matter offers him.

He was born in Southeast Kentucky and grew up in Corbin. He attended the Columbus School of Art & Design in Columbus, Ohio, for two years before getting drafted for Korea. Upon his return home in 1963, David attended the Cincinnati Art Academy and completed a BA in English at the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, KY.
