Terrell Atwood

Terrell Atwood is an artist who resided for many years in the beautiful horse country of Lexington, Kentucky. For the past 35 years, she has been painting various commissioned works including murals, portraits, and painted furniture for individuals, businesses and community projects.

She has worked with some of the most prestigious interior designers in the area and one may find her work in many of the historic homes among the famous horse farms surrounding central Kentucky .

Terrell received a BA in studio art from Hollins University in Roanoke Va. She has furthered her education by studying with various artists, such as Susan Sarback, author of “Capturing Radiant Color in Oils” and founder of The School of Light and Color in Fair Oaks , California .

She studied gilding and decorative finishes at Loughcrew School of Gilding, Oldcastle, Co. Meath, Ireland under Emily Naper. Terrell recently completed courses in figure drawing and portrait painting at the Florence Academy of Art in Florence , Italy .

Terrell has moved from Lexington to Herrington lake and is currently exploring new creative techniques for her future works.
