Katherine Updegraff White (artist-in-residence at Art Center of the Bluegrass) will facilitate a twelve-week journey through “The Artist’s Way” by Julia Cameron.

Whether you are a painter, poet, writer, actor, dancer, singer, architect, web designer, quilter, sculptor, potter, or one of the many other creatives, you have doubtless discovered that the world – and often we ourselves – are not kind to our creative dreams.

Julia Cameron, the author of The Artist’s Way believes that all of us are blocked in our creativity in one way or another, and in need of “creative recovery.” She says, “…creative recovery (or discovery) is a teachable, trackable, spiritual process…As you learn to recognize, nurture, and protect your inner artist, you will be able to move beyond pain and creative constriction.”

Join us this fall in a journey of rediscovering your creativity in a facilitated, 12 week class using The Artist’s Way. You will have the unique opportunity to move from creatively hindered to creative freedom in a safe, supportive environment. In each two-hour class we will cover a chapter of the book, exchange discoveries, and enjoy a creative activity.

This class is open to creatives of all genres and ability levels. It’s a journey of self-development, bolstered by the gentle accountability of community with like-minded creatives. As we all renew ourselves after this past year of uncertainty, give yourself this time to rekindle your creative self. Reserve your spot using the online registration form below.
