See the Tiny Art Show
The 8th Annual Tiny Art Show is now on view in our Main Exhibit Hall! These miniature masterpieces have been donated by students, community members, faraway fans, and local artists alike. Each measures no larger than six inches on any side, and the name of each artist is hidden – for now!
Doors will open at 5 pm on Saturday, February 21, for the Tiny Art Show Sale! Find the artwork that speaks to you, and get ready to grab it before it’s gone! The sale begins at 6 pm.
The artist’s name is affixed on the back of each piece, only to be revealed when it is purchased, and every piece is just $20. The Tiny Art Show Sale is a benefit for the Art Center, raising funds to help us fulfill our mission of connecting all people to art, culture and creativity. We hope you’ll join us!
Poetry Connected: The Tiny Art Show
Let the Tiny Art Show inspire you to pen a poem or piece of prose to share at Poetry Connected: The Tiny Art Show! Visit the exhibit and find some inspiration there, then join us on Friday, February 20 at 6 pm for Poetry Connected. Read your work, share with the group, or just come to listen. Admission is FREE!
Meet the Staff
The Art Center welcomed a new member of our team in January! Meet Mary Trollinger, our new Development and Relations Manager. Here are 5 Things about Mary!
1. My hobbies include photography, writing, and singing. Over the last few years, I have also taken classes for knitting, guitar, and screenwriting. I’m not great at any of these, but it’s been fun trying new things!
2. I graduated from Centre with a BA in Religion and Art History. I also got my Master of Divinity with a certificate in Religion in the Arts and Contemporary Culture from Vanderbilt.
3. I love dogs! All animals really, but dogs are my favorite.
4. I’ve had a few cool long-term volunteer experiences. I volunteered for several months with the Iona Community in Scotland, and for a month at Koinonia Farm in Georgia. I also served for a year as an AmeriCorps VISTA with GreenHouse17, then became an employee there for the next 7+ years!
5. I have a twin sister!

Grab & Go at Murrini Café
Many of you have already discovered what a gem Murrini Café is in the downtown Danville dining scene. It’s a great place to grab lunch, meet with friends, or work remotely and enjoy a vibrant, cozy scene.
But sometimes, ya gotta go!
No time to linger? No problem! Stop in and grab a sandwich, chips or a side of pasta, pickles, and a drink in our new Grab & Go cooler.

Ballroom Progress
The third-story ballroom in 409 W. Main is seeing lots of progress! Architect Garlan VanHook has sourced ceiling tiles from W.F. Norman Sheet Metal Manufacturing Company of Nevada, Missouri.
Using original 1898 dies, this century-old company will create approximately 474 panel, molding, and crown tiles in the style of the original tin ceiling.
Shepherd Construction will install them as they work to restore this once-beautiful ballroom.

New Exhibit: Kentucky School for the Deaf
Exhibit: February 18 – March 17
Opening Reception: Friday, February 20, 4:30-6 pm.
Admission is always free
This exhibit features original artwork by students from the Kentucky School for the Deaf (KSD) and highlights the power of visual expression as a primary language of communication.
The works on display span a variety of media, including drawing, painting, mixed media, and glass-inspired design, reflecting both technical skill and personal storytelling.
