The Art Center would like to extend a very warm thanks to Barbara Hulette. She has such a passion for historic preservation and adaptive reuse and has done so much to benefit the Art Center’s expansion into the building at 409 W. Main Street, raising funds for our ArtSee campaign, and helping us find donors who share her passion. Thank you, Barbara!
We have created a small token of thanks, installing a plaque near the entrance that reads, “Dedicated to The Hulette Family in recognition of service to the Art Center and the historic preservation of 409 W. Main Street, Danville, KY”
Also an avid supporter of the arts, she was surprised by Danville painter and Art Center Studio Artist David Farmer with a painting of the building she has done so much to restore.
Call to Artists!
The Tiny Art Show will be on exhibit from January 19 through February 21 in our Main Exhibit Hall.
This exhibit is created by YOU!
Make a small painting or piece, with no side larger than six inches. Donate the work to the Art Center for part of our Tiny Art Exhibit, and it will be sold in our Tiny Art Sale on Saturday, February 21. All proceeds help fund our arts education and free community programs.
The deadline to submit your Tiny Art is Saturday, January 10!

David Farmer recognized
Art Center Studio Artist David Farmer was recently recognized with the Arts Citizen of the Year award from the Arts Commission of Danville-Boyle County. The award has been presented every year since 2004. The first recipient was Wilma Brown
The board of the Arts Commission gathers recommendations, considering the recipient’s lifetime of work. The recipients have included artists, supporters, educators, administrators, and organizations. They must be residents of Boyle County.
David shares this honor with Paula Meckes. He has chosen to award a donation in his name to the Humane Society.
