Paint the Park
Have you reserved your square yet for Paint the Park?
We are just days away from our first Paint the Park in Millennium Park on July 3! We are marking off 200 4x4ft squares in the parking lot near the soccer fields, and it’s up to YOU to help us create a HUGE public art display there!
For just $10, you will receive a drawstring tote bag filled with red, yellow, and blue tempera paints, along with foam brushes to create your own masterpiece! We will also have black and white paint available at the park on the day of the event.
This new event is in partnership with Danville-Boyle County Parks & Recreation. Thanks to our main sponsor, Danville Office Equipment, for providing the paints and tote bags. Thanks also to Danville Ace Hardware for providing the foam brushes!

Beginning on Saturday, June 28 we will be distributing the tote bags and supplies at the Art Center during our regular business hours. Please go to the front desk in our Art Studio space to pay for your squares and receive your supplies. Then get ready to Paint the Park! Join us between 9 am and 1 pm on Thursday, July 3 in Millennium Park. There will be music, food from Grace on the Go, and Teach’s Coffee too!
Thanks to a donation from Whitaker Bank, the FIRST 50 SQUARES ARE FREE! Be sure to stop in on Saturday between 10 am and 5 pm to take advantage of this generous offer!
Pottery Class
Our Ceramic Studio is buzzing with activity in July! We have scheduled a second Beginning/Intermediate Pottery Class due to popular demand! Learn to throw on the wheel from Hanna Baker in this six-week course. The classes start on July 7 and run through August 11, meeting every Monday evening from 6-8 pm.

PAACK Exhibit
The Plein Air Artists of Central Kentucky will have work on exhibition in our Main Street Gallery from July 2 – August 9.
Please join us for an Artist’s Reception 4:30 – 6 pm on Friday, July 11. Admission is FREE!
The exhibit will feature work by Joe and Donna Forgacs, Barbara Adams, Karen Rowland, George Gow, Rich Brimer, Marlene Hanna, Roni Gilpin, Katina Johnson, John Dixon, and Cynthia Nave.
Hot Book Summer
We continue our crafting series for book lovers in July with two sessions of Hot Book Summer!
Join us on Friday, July 11 from 6-8 pm and again on Friday, July 25 from 6-8 pm for a fun-filled creative time with fellow bibliophiles! We’re partnering with Plaid Elephant Books for this series, so you know it’s going to be good!
Third Thursday is July 17
Even though it’s the Dog Days of Summer, downtown Danville is hoppin’ on Third Thursdays and we have a slate of activities for all ages! Bring the entire family – even your fur babies!
Kids Night Out!
Just for kids in grades K-5, we have crafts, snacks, and plenty of giggles as we beat the heat with indoor crafting fun! Kids will unleash their creativity with dog-themed art projects too! Register HERE
Furry Friends Paw Painting
Bring your furry friends for some painting projects they can help with! This is a drop-in event, so no registration is required.
Just visit our back parking lot, lovingly dubbed the Art Park, to create some crafty fun with your furriest friends! 5-8 pm.
Brats & Brews at Murrini Café
Chef Lindley is preparing a menu featuring craft beers and a variety of brats, including vegan options, for our first Brats & Brews in our Art Park!
Enjoy time with family and friends under the stars as Murrini stays open late for this first in a series of Brats & Brews throughout the summer! 5-8 pm.
Bob Ross Painting Class
“We don’t laugh because we feel good, we feel good because we laugh,” said television star, artist, and frequent philosopher Bob Ross.
Join our certified Bob Ross instructor, Shane Morrow, for our next Bob Ross Painting Class, from 1-5 pm on Saturday, July 19.
Bring a friend to laugh with! No experience necessary, and all materials are provided.

Vintage Christmas Tree POP Party
One of our most popular Paint-Your-Own pottery items is the vintage Christmas trees, studded with lights.
