The Gathering Artists is a coalition of creatives from Danville and the surrounding area who come together each month to learn new tricks, give support, and create community.
This exhibit is inspired by the work of renowned glass artist Stephen Rolfe Powell, and features paintings and two-dimensional art capturing his spirit of color and creativity. Learn MORE

Lunch with the Arts
Tea blender, writer, and historian Bruce Richardson will be our guest on Tuesday, March 3, for Lunch with the Arts. Join us from noon to 1 pm for a discussion on Tea, Art and Architecture in Victorian Glasgow with the founder of Elmwood Inn Fine Teas. FREE!
Bruce has presented this talk to audiences at the Frist Museum (Nashville), The Albuquerque Museum, and The Museum of American Arts & Crafts (St. Petersburg). He serves as Tea Master for the Boston Tea Party Ships Museum and Contributing Editor for TeaTime magazine.
Bruce is the author of a dozen books on tea, including A Social History of Tea and The New Tea Companion.

Open House
The Art Center is a wonderful place to enjoy art in our beautiful, curated spaces, which are also available for private rentals.
Join us between 5 and 7 pm, on Thursday, March 5, for an Open House and see what we have to offer!
Our rental spaces include the cozy and intimate Murrini Café, the 1909 charm of our Grand Hall, and our soon-to-open Ballroom. We offer catering services, art parties for kids and adults, and unique spaces for off-site work meetings, corporate events, weddings, receptions, birthdays, and more!

The Powell Collection
On your next visit to the Frazier Kentucky History Museum in Louisville, be sure to see the 120 Cool KY Counties exhibit!
In late February, we delivered a piece of glass art from the Stephen Rolfe Powell Collection to the Frazier Museum. It has a prominent home in the installation, representing Boyle County.
This piece will be on view at the Frazier Museum for a year and will be seen by tens of thousands of visitors – students, educators, families, and tourists from around the world!
