Summer Ceramic Workshop Series


Altered Forms with Buddy Dobbins 

Buddy Dobbins creates functional pottery with altered flair and will teach students in this two-day workshop how to alter wheel-thrown pottery with an eye toward organic curves and playful lines.

In this hands-on beginner course, you’ll learn the foundational techniques of printmaking in a fun, supportive environment with instructor Jonas Hurley.

Porch Goose Paint Party

Bring a touch of charm and personality to your porch in this fun and creative workshop at the Art Center of the Bluegrass! Participants will paint their own 24″ cement porch goose using acrylic paints and a variety of decorative materials.

Mini Makers Club

We invite kids ages 0-5 and their grownups to come create, explore, and play in our Art Lab Classroom every Friday and the first Saturday of the month from 10:30 am to 2 pm. FREE!

Mini Makers will be on hiatus throughout the summer, so be sure to visit in May!

Art Exploration Summer Camps

We have a summer full of creative fun planned at the Art Center! Full-Day and Half-Day Camps for kids rising into 1st – 5th grades, Preschool Camps on Fridays, and Camps for Tweens & Teens! Camps start in June and run through the end of July.

Third Thursdays are back! It’s time to wander down Main Street, take in all that Danville has to offer, and grab a bite and a brew in our Art Park parking lot!

It’s a great place to gather and enjoy a beautiful spring evening! This month, it’s also Gallery Hop – visit our open artist studios! The museum will be open late!

Lunch with the Arts

Pioneer Playhouse will celebrate its 77th Season Under the Stars – Robby and Heather Henson will be our guests to tell us all about it!

They will talk about the upcoming season, focusing on the Kentucky Voices original play adaptation of “The Iron Baby Angel”, set in Danville in 1908, and which is part of Boyle County’s America 250 celebrations!
