Thank you to everyone who came out for the 47th Annual Constitution 5K Run for the Arts on September 14.

It was a great race day, and we are so grateful to the many volunteers who helped make it a smooth and well-organized event.

Thanks to participants and sponsors, the Art Center raised more than $4,000 to help offset the cost of educational arts programming here at the center. Thank you!

LITTER-ALLY KENTUCKY: Collage en plein air by John Andrew Dixon

Rooted in visual design and inspired by the avant-garde history of collage, LITTER-ALLY KENTUCKY is a compelling body of work that transforms discarded materials into powerful statements on beauty, environment, and belonging.

Meet Remonica Conner

Remonica Conner has been at the Art Center since February 2024. She is our Programs & Events Manager. Here are 5 Things about Remonica!

1. My faith, family, friends and community are extremely important to me. I’m a Kiwanian, Kentucky Colonel, member of the Danville-Boyle County African American Historical Society, proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and Chair of the Art Center’s DEI Committee.
2. I’m the mother of a talented and toothsome toddler son. When my time isn’t spent assisting with community programming and events, you’ll find me cheering him on at dance (tap, tumbling, and ballet), soccer, or right back on the Art Center’s campus for Mini Makers and Pre-School camps.
3. I enjoy collecting wheat pennies and $2 bills. My vinyl collection is always growing, too.
4. I have two degrees. A Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations from Eastern Kentucky University and a Master of Arts in Theological & Cultural Anthropology from Eastern University (St. David, PA).
5. I have a fall/winter seasonal obsession with Harry Potter that runs deep. Chocolate frogs from Plaid Elephant deep! Wand display deep! Ankle tattoo deep!

Fall Festival at the Art Center
