Spend an evening with Scarlet Cup Theatre at Art Center of the Bluegrass March 13

Join us on Thursday, March 13 as we partner with Scarlet Cup Theatre for a one-night-only reading from “Apples in Winter” by Jennifer Fawcett, performed by Beth Marlowe. 

Scarlet Cup Theatre is based in Danville and offers occasional theatrical performances in surprising venues, challenging audiences with thought-provoking theater. They have performed at the Doll House Museum, Dry Stack Coffee, the Kentucky School for the Deaf, and Danville High School to name a few. They receive their funding through the Arts Commission of Danville/Boyle County.

For this performance, Beth Marlowe will portray Miriam in a reading from “Apples in Winter” – a play about monsters and the mothers of monsters, held in our Main Exhibit Hall at 401 W. Main Street in Danville. 

Marlowe is a long-time Danville resident active in the school system and local community theater. She recently stepped into the role of artistic director with West T Hill Theatre, where she is eager to bring her energy and creativity to the stage. 

Tickets are $50 per person, which includes the reading, light refreshments, wine, and a signature cocktail from Maker’s Mark. Doors open at 6:30 pm, with the reading at 7 pm. All proceeds benefit the Art Center of the Bluegrass ArtSee Capital Campaign.

There is also an option to join us for a special dinner planned at Murrini Café at 5 pm for $25 per person. The menu includes a choice of entreé, salad, and sides. Seating is limited, and reservations are required.
