June at the Art Center
It’s June! That means it’s time for summer fun at the Art Center! We have so much going on, with our Summer Camps revving up this week, a new exhibit in our Main Exhibit Hall on June 9, and a fun new crafting class specially for book lovers. Check out our full listing of June programs HERE.
Roberta Eichenberg: For the Love of the Beasts
Our Main Exhibit Hall will host glass artist Roberta Eichenberg with an exhibit called “For the Love of the Beasts” from June 9 through August 4. Known for her thoughtful and often humorous approach to contemporary issues, Eichenberg continues to explore themes of environment, identity and personal reflection through her art.
A free reception for the artist will take place from 4:30 – 6 pm on Friday, June 13. Learn more HERE.
Restoring our Ballroom
We are moving forward with restoration work on the third-floor Grand Ballroom at 409 W. Main Street. Thanks to the tireless efforts of our Capital Campaign and Building Committees and the generous donations from folks like you, we are making progress on restoring this amazing space!
Originally a ballroom for the Oddfellows, this space includes the original tin ceiling tiles you see here. They are being carefully removed and lovingly restored. We are also finalizing plans for the installation of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. This space will one day be a great location for events, concerts, exhibits, private parties, meetings, and more!

As we near the end of our fiscal year on June 30, we will be saying goodbye to some of our board members. As a nonprofit organization, we are governed by a 15-member board of directors that helps steer our course. A heartfelt thank you to Diana Gilley, Lynda Ross, and David Seidel for their guidance and service to the Art Center and its mission to connect all people to art, culture, and creativity.
